Hello everyone!

Here I'd like to present you my Banebrood.

So this is the testing mini I did to see how the painting-techniques, which were very different from my usual ones, would work out.

Awesome!
As i said before on this forum, I'm always hooting for minis who are colourful but not gaudy. Smile
And I love the Tartan on the tunic/skirt.

Smashing empires of man is a moral duty

I have to admit, that this must be one of the most impressive paint jobs, I have ever seen (and we have some very good painters here in my town).
From the cracked leather, the blood stains and the already mentioned Tartan to the impressive details in the mouth - it's really outstanding!
Did you leave the eyes white on purpose? If so, I really like the overall impression this brings to the miniature; makes it more eerie... Smile

Wow, I really did'nt expected to get such good reactions on my paintjob Smile

Thanks a lot guys!

@Raoul:
I like colorful shemes, too. It's very hard to use a wide range of colors if a lot of them are of the same type like the browns in my color sheme.

The Tartan was a experiment. I tried to get a scotish highlands wild look, and I think it worked out pretty nice.

@ Khazrak:
Indeed I left the eyes white on purpose. I really like the look of empty eyes when I paint evil armys. Just imagine such a beast is charging you and all you see in his eyes ist nothing... no expression, no mercy just pure hatred.
Anyway, painting pupils often looks kind of derp, only a few exeptional painters get this right.

Wow, he looks really pissed, I certainly don't want to meet this ugly motherf@#ker Tongue.
The weathering, rust and blood is outstanding, I love it.

The Tartan is a great idea - ripped from the corpse of some fallen Wyldfolk warrior..
