Help with warband list
#1

As Godslayer is becoming popular in our gaming club and seeing the gorgeous Halodyne models i decided to start a warband myself.

Getting ready to order the models im a bit torn on what to exactly to play, and i have two setups do work with, what would people recommend:

1 Demarchon (42)
Doration of Swiftness (10)
Spiked Aspis (9)
Cerberos Girdle (10)
Waters of Truth (6)
Power Crystal (5)
1 Syntarch (30)
1 Sanctum Priestes (20)
Killing Machine (3)
Chain Lightning (5)
Healing Hands (3)
8 Hoplites (70) (11)
1 Cerberus
1 Sacred Familiar

or

1 Demarchon (42)
Doration of Swiftness (10)
Spiked Aspis (9)
Cerberos Girdle (10)
Waters of Truth (6)
Power Crystal (5)
1 Syntarch (30)
1 Sanctum Priestes (20)
Killing Machine (3)
Chain Lightning (5)
Healing Hands (3)
8 Hoplites (70) (11)
3 Sons of War

idea is getting a 300 pts warband for starters what would tactically be the most flexible of the two?

Don't like the hill ogre models for the warband as they look to Roman Gladiator like to my tastes

I personally like the sacred familiar with the Priestess for all the benefits it gives. That would lead me more towards the first list.

I'm personally planning to run an animated and a familiar in my 300 point list so that I can channel where I want and keep my priestess out of harms way. I've found chain lightening useful so far and I think killing machine on Hoplites is a must.

I would go with the second list (with the Sons of War). I think they are easier to Play correctly than the Cerberos (which is a specialized tool for particular foes).

BTW, the Hill Ogres have Trojan clothing with Samnite triangular breast-plate, and the helmets are a mix of Samnite and Corinthian.

I would also take the 2nd list! Godquester really is a nice model!

Godquester can be any of the sub-factions. I'm planning to use her with city state with Hoplites to hold units in place with Phalanx and a priestess for support and the Godquester to be a killing machine.
