Hello

I`m no sure how to interprete Pendragon`s ability Dugout

"Before the setup phase, nominate one friendly model/unit. The nominate model/unit gains the ability Secret Deployment as explained in Godslayer Rulebook"

Model with Secret Deployment has to or maybe has the possibility to deploying secretly in the battlefield?

With the Pendragon one of your units or models, which could normally only deployed via the normal rules, may be deployed via "Secret Deployment" rules.

This is the same way as the Stormbow Beasthunters may be deployed.

Rules for Secret Deployment can be found on page 46 of the rulebook.

The cool thing about the Pendragon's ability is that you can deploy an entire unit with secret deployment, and does not even need to be the same subfaction, so 8 Bladeslingers, 5 Cromlech Guard, or 6 Wycca warriors etc.

Add a Beasthunter to your warband and you can really throw the enemy off balance.

Secret deployment can cause the opponent to lose Focus on the scenario objectives, and waste time looking for your models or reacting to face them in a location opposite of where you hid them.

And of coucrse it is useful for grabbing objectives or gaining distance for shooting, or setting-up flank charges, or to threaten a line of warmachines and missile troops at the back of the table.

Hmm, I think I understand possibilities of Secret Deployment , but I`m simply not sure model with Secret Deployment ability must, or may (has the possibility) to choose secret deployment.
There are specific situations I prefer not to use Dugout/Secret Deployment, because I can`t use offensively my secret unit/miodel during the first round.

You have a) the option not to use Dugout with the Pendragon and b) the option not to use Secret Deployment with a unit/model that has this possibility.
You are forced to nothing here. Smile
