Hello,

nice paintjobs. Your painting speed is really amazing. In the same time I'm still painting my 8 Fjell Warriors. How do you do your base coloring on the models? It seems that you always use the same technique and it really looks good....

8 Fjell Warriors? I'm still painting one Hill Ogre. Wink

Again a great paintjob, Spy. And some insight on how you make your bases would be nice.

Thanks.

I use a very simple technique:

First:
1. Close all holes in the bottom of the base (e.g. slots).
2. Give superglue inside the base. Other glue works too but takes longer.

Now you have to be fast ;-)
3. Throw some little stones on the base (I have 3-4 different types and sizes).
4. Put the whole base in a box with fine sand and put sand on the top of the base (I use 2-3 different colours).

Later:
5. Ink the sand/Stones with broun, black or green depending on what result you want.
6. Drybrush the base with green, brown or grey.
7. Paint the side of the base black.
8. Put some turf from hobby store on the base.

Finished
(total time per base is about 2 minutes).

By using diffrernt combinations of stones/sand/colors/turf you may get every result from Dessert to Stone to Jungle...

I really like your colour scheme for the Trogs, the shadow trolls are looking great. Smile

And thanks for the basing advice.

Hi Spy,

thanks for your advice on basing. Maybe I'll try something similar.

Next:

Wyldvolk will get an unit of Archers,

the Nordgaard will receive an additional unit of dwarfen worriors.

Really like them spy, it's good to see very similar colour scheme across all the factions too helps bring the models together in a distinctive style.
