I thought it would be nice to have a thread to share the names of your warlords and characters. Just for the fun of it.

So I'm going to start:

____________________________________

Cadrus Caius Coridianus Daemonicida (usually Caius Coridianus), Centurion
Tirius Audax, Princeptor

Varrkas Evershade, Duskborn Chieftain
Aaruuw, Hammerfist

Iarann Ravenfeeder, Pendragon
Ruairidh of many tongues, Bard

Skrall Blutdrang, Marauder Tyrant

Smashing empires of man is a moral duty

Nice name, but I admit it's a bit generic. (Just like my names ;P) However, I think Minox is a bit weird for a Beastspawn. It sounds to civiziled.

You are right that maybe Minox is a little civilized for typical Beastspawn, but
I guess Beastspawn warlords would be given names by the civilized peoples they terorize, because these people would want some way of referring to him rather than "the Gorelord that savaged the Volophon Hills last year". So in that way Beastspawn warlords might gain a civilized name.

The warlord might well learn of this name from captured prisoners. Boar-head, bison-head and ox-head Banebrood are capable of reasonable intelligence, especially the Gorelords. So they might think to use the name to inspire fear in other communities they are savaging.

Gorelords particularly have been evolving intelligence rapidly in the recent history and is a primary reason that the nations of Mortals are beginning to crumble. Indeed, Gorelords communicate clearly in their beastspeech and some can manage a few broken sentences in the language of their local enemy.

Other breeds of Beastspawn such as ram-head, stag-head etc probably would not have the intellect to grasp the strategic use of a name or be bale to pronounce it.

It´s better you steal something good, than make up something bad by yourself. Wink

Here are some resources for making names. I recommend to mix and match the syllables, but you could also just use them directly:

Halodynes:
http://tekeli.li/onomastikon/Ancient-Wor.../Male.html

Nordgaard:
http://www.angelfire.com/wy/svenskildbit...nams3.html

Wyldfolk:

Mortans:
http://www.novaroma.org/nr/Choosing_a_Roman_name

Troglodytes:
try this site and select "consonant heavy names". Not all of them are suitable, but some look good.

Banebrood:
For Banebrood names better ask your dog :-)
