Here is something official the other way (in case of a horror causing unit)

Anxious is different from cowardice, and cowardice don't have a horror test. With cowardice, oakbows MAY run in flee without any test.

A moderator (Simon, i think he's an author of the game too), for this skill (and this skill only) clearly said that : " Intention was that they flee after the charge movement has been done (so the charging unit does not suffer a failed charge), but before the charge attacks occur", so i don't understand what are the doubts of many of us Smile.

But, Jakail, until there's an errata, intention doesn't hold up to written rules.

I understand, that we maybe should play it the way Simon said, but my point was, that there's actually a clear answer in the rulebook (even if it's contradicting the developer's answer) Wink

Nope, there isn't, because the real intention of that skill was explained by Simon, not by the text of the ability. For this reason some of players (me too) had doubts about that, but now a developer clarify the real intention for that ability. We can't find nothing of usefull in the rulebook about this ability, because cowardice don't follow all the general rules for flee. Developers will clear the text of cowardice (or something like that), untill that, as Simon says, i think we must play the ability like he said. Smile
We risk to create more confusion about this ability.

This is only my opinion, naturally. Smile

Ps: Please, everybody, i'm so sorry for my infernal english XD!

Oakbows do NOT suffer attacks or free strikes when they flee using Cowardice.
That will be clarified in the next errata.

I am imagining this on the gaming table right now...maybe it's my lack of practical playing experience, but: how would you ever do damage to the oakbows, then? If they keep running away from your attacks?
