These barbarian-mystics are considered frightening and depraved even by their fellow villagers due in part to their occult rituals and to the bizarre contradiction posed by their arcane philosophizing and their extravagant brutality. These savages, the burliest warriors of a village, form the elite infantry whose role is to break the enemy line and topple monstrous creatures. It is their right by custom to claim the brains of any of the tribe’s kills. Hence they are known as the Skulleaters.

This elite brotherhood lives together within the Hall of Bones, which is built from the skeletons of giants, mammoths, dragons and other monstrous beasts. The hall glows dimly with the embers which heat the sweating-stones, upon which blood is poured, creating a reeking, humid atmosphere. Narcotic herbs place the Skulleaters into an altered state of consciousness during which they consume the brains of the slain. This debauched narcosis opens doors in the minds of these barbarians allowing them to re-experience the memories of their victims. Besides the gratification of their psycho-soporific addiction, this practice helps in attaining total unity with the beast within – a state which they call Gorvalla.

Skulleaters wear chain and scale armor (donated by their kills), combined with thick furs and leather. Over this they don crude bronze plate armor and helmets fashioned by the village smith. Their hands wield powerful long-axes which can split a man in two with a single strike.

Their howling charge hacks and smashes the enemy front line and their ferocity continues as they slam through into fresh enemies behind. Should their bestial energy waver, they rip out the hearts of their enemies and drink the thick warm blood, reinvigorating themselves for greater acts of brutality.

Bestial Hunger – When the Skulleaters kill a worthy enemy, they cut out the individual’s heart. Later they are apt to drink theblood of the fresh heart, invigorating themselves.
Hardened Will – Skulleaters are mentally deranged, fearing nothing.
Cannibal Corpse – Skulleaters demoralize enemies by ripping out the hearts of living victims.
Carnage – The charge of the Skulleaters is a savage spectacle of bloodletting as they smash through the front rank piling deep into the enemy’s formation.

Very fearsome looking. Is it possible to get a front shot from the one holding up the heart?

Am I the only one who finds it weird that almost all of the Beastspawn models carry some kind of skulls or shrunk heads under their belts, but the SKULLeaters, of all minis, don't? Don't get me wrong, they look awesome, but it's a bit of a misnomer...

If you smash the skull and eat the brain theres not so much left to wear. Ok you could be careful operate your lunch out but look at these axes instead of spoons...

Not to be captain obvious, but when you eat a skull you can't hang it on your belt as a trophy Tongue

This model looks awesome from the front. Allkinds of bloody paintjobs spring to mind when seeing it.
